IBA Instructors – Shield & Sword
All IBA instructors, regardless of previous experience, service history, or level of expertise, must complete the Certified International Bodyguard (CIBG) course. Only after obtaining this qualification can they apply for the MONITEUR (entry-level instructor) course.
After completing at least two years of teaching experience, you can advance to the INSTRUCTEUR (official instructor) course, and the instructor qualification must be renewed every two years.
The highest level, PROFESSEUR, is the highest rank awarded only to those who have demonstrated continuous activity and contribution as an IBA instructor for more than 10 years.
IBA also collaborates with external instructors, including retired senior government officials, to provide training in highly specialized areas such as explosive detection, surveillance, and counter-surveillance.

IBA Instructor System
All IBA instructors must obtain the 'IBA Certified International Bodyguard (CIBG)' qualification before they can stand on the podium.
Afterwards, you can progress step by step from Moniteur (lecturer) → Instructeur (instructor) → Professeur (professor-level instructor) through a certain process.
In particular, the highest rank, Professeur, is only awarded to instructors who have been active in IBA for more than 10 years.
Additionally, IBA invites retired government experts to provide more specialized training in specialized fields such as explosive detection, surveillance, and counter-surveillance.
Legacy & Global Reach
IBAKOREA is the official branch of the Republic of Korea that inherits the legitimacy and standards of the International Bodyguard Association (IBA), which began in Paris, France in 1957.
We don't just share a history or a name.
It plays a role in implementing the education, certification, and operation system verified according to the standards of the Italian IBA headquarters in the Asian field.
IBAKOREA serves as a hub connecting global standards and real-world operational environments through security and security education and research that meet international standards. It is an organization that embodies the present and future of security, not the past.

Diploma & Certification Highlight
IBAKOREA EDU's diploma and certification courses are designed to select and train top-level security guards capable of performing key security duties.
Security guards selected for this course must possess excellent mental and physical condition, high reliability, a neat external image, and the intellectual and logical ability to make immediate and accurate judgments in crisis situations.
The essential mission of a bodyguard is not simply to provide protection, but to have a sense of responsibility and mission to prioritize the absolute safety of the person being protected over one's own safety in the event of a crisis.
This is the core value that security professionals must possess, and it is the starting point for all education and training.
Furthermore, considering the security mission in an international environment, practical foreign language skills are required as a basic competency when performing security duties for foreign security personnel, and continuous improvement of language and international awareness is included in the curriculum.
All diploma and certification programs at IBAKOREA EDU clearly state that the purpose of bodyguards is to ensure the survival and safety of those under protection. Through training systems and evaluation criteria designed based on actual crisis situations, we produce professional bodyguards who meet international standards.
